I am a crafter. I love to create. But, if you ask me what my favorite crafting supplies are or even what my favorite craft is, it really depends on the month.
In the past month, these happen to be my favorite items:
01. Rotatrim Monorail 13-inch. When it comes to paper crafting, you need to have a good paper cutter to truly enjoy the experience. I have been trying to get by with a $20 cutter for the past few years and recently splurged on a Rotatrim. They are the top of the line, although Rotatrim does make a dual-rail which is a step above the monorail. When I asked the retailer about the difference he said, "You will be able to hand the dual-rail down to your grandchildren. The monorail will only last you until you die." I decided to be a cheapskate and only buy the one that will last me the rest of my life. Sorry, grandchildren...
02. Felt. High quality, wool felt, that is. Please don't buy the cheap-o stuff from your local discount store unless you plan on throwing your craft away. This pretty, nicer material is so worth the extra cost.
03. Pretty Paper. Fine, i'll admit it...this is on my favorite list every month. I am a bit of a paper addict. I am a graphic designer for a crafting/card making magazine...what do you expect?
04. Corner Chomper by We R Memory Keepers. I actually did a review on it over here, so you can jump over to read all about it.
05. Cutter Bee Precision-Cut Scissors. Perfect for the crafting perfectionist like myself. These sharp little buggers are a must have.
06. Diamond Glaze. Oh my. I love this stuff. It is so fun! I use it mostly in jewelry making. It makes perfect little glass-looking pendents.
07. Paper Adhesive Runner. I don't really have a preference on the brand...I just need it to be a runner. Love the stuff!
08. Xyron Creative Station. I love this little contraption. I make little lessons and file folder activities for my kids often, so this machine laminates and ensures their survival past the first use. Kids love to laminate their art work, as well. It will also make stickers and magnets, but I have only tried the laminating.

Lovely Hannah! Where do you buy your felt from? Also... I haven;t forgotten about you and the big gray bag. I'm just trying to get as much done as possible right now before I'm home sick. I'll write something out for you though... no worries ;).
ReplyDeleteI buy my felt at a lovely little place called Elaine's Quilt Block in Sandy. Very good prices and beautiful selection!

ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI'm Anne Stephanie Cruz, one of your blog followers. I work for www.ownadaycare.com, it's a site dedicated to giving useful information and advice to people who are passionate about having their own daycare business - but don't know where or how to start.
Anyhow, I sent you this email to ask if you would consider having me write a guest post on your blog. It can just be a short article about child care, parenting and daycare, setting up a daycare center - or really anything that you might find interesting.
Please let me know what you think. Thanks in advance!
Sincerely Yours,
Anne Stephanie Cruz

Love it! I had never heard of that cutter before now... I need to add it to my list of possibles. How does it compare to the Tonic?
ReplyDeleteUmmm... you can't NOT share who makes that delicious paper. I too, am a bit of a patterned paper addict. *deep sigh*
I've got to get a nice paper cutter. This one may be the one. Can you cut multiple sheets of cardstock at a time? Also, that corner rounder looks awesome. Can you round corners on a stack of cardstock or one at a time? Thanks for your help!
