...pie kit GIVEAWAY!!!

I think my good experience with the easy-peasy pie crust calls for a giveaway, don't you?
I, with a little help from Pillsbury themselves, will be giving away a fabulous pie-making kit! Yay!! It will include:
  • 2 glass pie pans
  • 1 set of Crate and Barrel pie-top cut-outs
  • 1 pastry server
  • 1 CD-ROM with photos and recipes of Pillsbury pie favorites
  • 1 cute, lined basket

Giveaway Guidelines:
  1. To enter the PIE KIT GIVEAWAY leave a comment on this post telling what your favorite pie is. (Email me the recipe and I will love you!)
  2. If you blog about this, you get an extra entry. (Tell me if you did this so I can verify)
  3. If you put the Sherbet Blossom Button up on your blog you can get an additional entry. (Tell me if you did this so I can verify)
  4. If you twitter about it, you will receive an additional entry. (Tell me if you did this so I can verify) That is 3 possible EXTRA entries!!!

    Yea!!! I'm the first! I hope I win... I have a secret crush on the Pillsbury Dough Boy. I also have a husband who loves pies. My latest favorite pie is the "Eggnog Pie" that we created this last Christmas. I'll email you the recipe, but I know you have a slight aversion to custard... :)

    One of my favorites is Cherry-o Cream Cheese Pie. Mix together an 8 oz. pkg. of cream cheese, 1 1/3 c. sweetened condensed milk, 1/3 c. lime or lemon juice and 1 t. vanilla. Pour into a graham cracker crust and chill. Yummy!

    PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE PIE... If it is cheesecake does it really count as pie? If not, then a good 'ol southern pecan pie that literally melts in your mouth is my all time favorite! :) Thanks for the chance to win! I will have to get my recipe for the pecan pie and send it on!

    I love pie. However I think I have eaten more than I have made. Looks like it is time to try to make more! My favorite pie is Pecan but it has to be made by my friend Jeanine- she is an amazing pie maker. I'm going to have to bribe her for her recipe.
    I made my first caramel apple pie this Thanksgiving and it was really good. The recipe is:
    -8 cups of peeled and sliced apples (I used 4 granny smith and 4 galas_
    Place the apples in a bowl and mix in
    -2/3 cup brown sugar
    -1/4 cup flour
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    a dash of salt
    Place this mixture in an unbaked pie crust (I used Pillsbury too!) and place 2 Tbsp butter diced all around the apples. Place crust on tip and cut some slits in it. Place tinfoil around the edges so they don't burn. You can remove this during the last 15 minutes. Bake at 425 for 45 minutes.

    Banoffee pie!

    Recipe:
    1 baked pie crust
    1 tin dulce de leche
    2 ripe bananas
    1 pint cream whipped and slightly sweetened.

    Spread dulce de leche in bottom of crust, top with sliced bananas, spread whipped cream on top. Devour immediately.

    my mom used to make one called "Scotch 'n' Chocolate"....and it was layers of dark chocolate and butterscotch cream topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.......and my mother-in-law's best pie was Rhubarb Meringue........If I can find the recipes, I WILL e-mail them to you.......

    Growing up we had blackberry bushes lining our back yard. Every summer, late in the summer when the berries were ripe and bursting with flavour, we would go outside and pick a bowl of berries. We'd then go inside and mom would have made the crust for us and we would pour in our fresh blackberries!

    I think Blackberry Pie is my favourite lol

    It used to be deep dish Cherry Pie all the way, but now it's a tie between that and Strawberry Rhubarb. Sorry I just use a Betty Crocker cookbook for these recipes, so I can't say they're my own.

    I love any sort of cream pie...chocolate, banana, coconut, you name it! As much as I don't like store baked goods, costco actually just came out with a delicious chocolate-banana cream pie...it was heavenly!

    Apple...! I don't have a specific recipe as I 'ad lib' as I go...but what I DO use are Cortland Apples, a few speckles of fresh lemon juice, brown sugar, white sugar and cinnamon...I add as I go. I cheat using a premade pie crust, though...lol

    I agree about store bought pie-crust. I was skeptical as well, but tried them this Thanksgiving for the first time since I was having dinner at my house and no time to worry about pie crust - and I was very pleasantly surprised. I think I will always buy from now on.

    My favorite pie is Lemon Meringue. I don't have any fancy recipe - I just use the one on the lemon pudding box. I know there must be a better recipe out there and I have yet to find one I can successfully make...
