This bail-out crisis really freaked me out! I couldn't believe that we were even THINKING of it! Think of the power that would give our government. Do we really want to give them more? That would have been one step closer to socialism. I was proud that the senate x'ed it. I was ready for the stock market to drop, but how much it dropped made me very nervous. I spent all day yesterday taking inventory of my food storage and shopping at Costco for the things we were lacking. I feel much better about having a good 6-months supply of food, toilet paper, diapers, etc. in my pantry and storage room.
I am so excited for General Conference on Saturday. I am ready to hear what the prophet and apostles have to say about this mess. I am sure my nervousness will be calmed. I love Conference!

for some more information about food storage, check out our blog! It's all about food storage and emergency preparation.

PS- I LOVE the design of your blog, it's so beautiful! We've been wanting to make a little button for our blog like the ones you have. So cute!!
Wow, 6-mos worth of stuff. You must have a big house. It's people's fears that have been making it worse. This too shall pass. Check out www.daveramsey.com - he has some important info on there about the whole thing and a plan B idea. Would be worth emailing your senators and representatives.
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on this...I will be going to the story bright and early tomorrow to do the same thing!! I can't wait for this weekend to be edified and calmed :)
ReplyDeleteHannah, bad news for you. The Senate passed a revised plan and tomorrow the House (who voted it down on Mon) is voting tomorrow. We have beefed up our food storage as well. There is a calculator on the church's website that helps you calculate how much you need per month of storage per person, we like it.
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky enough to get tickets to General Conference this year - I am so excited to go! I've been working on my food storage this year... but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we won't be living on it any time soon.
