Morning is one of my favorite times of day. I love getting up early...before the kids. I read or just sit and think in silence...a luxury that I won't have again until bedtime.This morning, my thoughts turned to my calling of "mother." I love being a mom! It has it's challenges: the whining, the messes, the crying, the dirty diapers. But, I am not complaining...I did sign up for this!
As a mother, I laugh more, smile more, and love two little people more than I knew possible. I feel pride over a cleaned plate, excitement with a few wobbly first steps, and joy with a 30 second cuddle session. (30 seconds is a long cuddle session for my 1-year-old!)
I really love being a mom!

I definitely agree with everything you said about laughing more and loving more! Your kids are adorable... I love that last pic!
ReplyDeleteThey are both adorable and look just like you. (Good job!) I have a 16-mo. old so I know about the not wanting to sit still. But there are moments where she will just sit and cuddle and lay her head on my shoulder. It's just the best feeling....in many ways.
