Last week, the snow melted. Sweatshirts and light jackets were all I needed. Spring was close; I could feel it. But alas, Jack Frost is back with a vengeance. My first test of contentment.
I went outside for a brief moment today. Just finished my workout, so the cold air felt refreshing. The snow was sparkling and the quiet was peaceful. Yes: I am content with this beautiful scene out my back window.

Is it okay if I let you be content while I am all discontented over the weather? ;)
ReplyDeleteWe got a big snow storm last night too. Hard to believe it was 68 degrees last week. I never really wished winter away before, but it sure is nice for the little ones.
ReplyDeleteI love those little snow peaks on the posts and along the rail. We had snow this week too, but it got me a late start at work, so it came with an upside!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, I'll say that. Up here, we don't have snow, but a bitter cold front came through yesterday and we are freezing! Last week, we had near 60 degree days....oh how I want Spring to come!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite quotes from my most favorite movie!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sick of snow! Luckily I am getting a little taste of spring by prepping my plants for the upcoming Spring Home and Garden Show. I always love the show- it's the harbinger of spring for me no matter what the weather looks like outside.
ReplyDeleteYes, contentment is hard. Stop over for my giveaway with Shabby Apple:)

Yes. I feel your pain Hannah. Two weeks ago we had beautiful weather and everything was melty and spring like. Then...the winter storm came and gave us 12 inches. Even right now it's snowing.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for spring :)
BEAUTIFUL!!!
ReplyDeleteOut here in So.Cal we never get snow, like in our back yard! I loved the picture and I felt as if I was looking out your back window.
Thank you for sharing it- and even though you don't love all the snow (because of the consequences of it) I got that you can appreciate it's beauty!
And alas, this too, shall pass!
Hannah, I totally feel your pain. I live in a lake effect area of New York. On Friday we were absolutely green and 60 degree temps. Then come Monday we were blessed with about a foot of snow, then this past Friday we were dumped on and now have approximately three feet of snow.
ReplyDeleteOf course, God giving us one last chance to enjoy it before Spring! Good job at being content about it!! Im rooting for you on your goal as I struggle with the same thing :)

I've never seen snow before :(
ReplyDeleteSo I live vicariously through people who have.
Gorgeous photo!
I am new to your blog, I stumbled across it via Blog Catalog :)

Love this!
ReplyDeleteHate to brag - but it's glorious in Hawaii. Truth be told, though, I love a beautiful snow storm.
ReplyDeleteWay to rub it in, Mom! I can't help but with I was there...
ReplyDeleteAbove the screaming from my two-year-old, I can almost hear the quiet in this photo.
