Your opinion, please.

I make cards. I love making cards! I design a magazine all about cards.

I also blog. I didn't want this blog to turn into a card-making blog. This is a blog about me, and card-making is just one part of me.

I started to have requests to see my cards, so I made a card blog. Now that I have two blogs, however, I am finding keeping up with more than one to be very tedious.

So, my question for you is this: Do you want to see more cards on here? Or should I keep that part of my life on a separate blog? Would you want to see my card creations 1-3x's a week? (This would not be in place of my regular posts...it would be in addition to them. )

Funny that I'm having such a hard time deciding this on my own.

I need your input.

***UPDATE: Thank you for your input. I am taking your advise and combining the two.

  1. Whatever makes your life easier and brings you the most enjoyment. After all, blogging is for YOU.

I wouldn't mind seeing more of your cards. Being completely non-crafty myself, I won't get much "inspiration" from any tutorials or product reviews, but I think it's neat that you display your talent.

I hate decisions. Good luck. :)

  3. I think what ever is easiest for you is most important.
If it becomes too much to keep up with two blogs it won't be fun anymore. Blogging should be enjoyable not tedious.

  4. Don't stress yourself. Do what is fun for you. I don't think it would be bad to see a card post here once a week.... but then again, I'll love you regardless.

  6. Hey Hannah! Sometimes when I read your posts... I feel like we are sisters! :) I have had inner struggles with what to post on my blog. If I go for a while and don't post cards and post pics of the family, etc... I start getting comments about how people miss seeing my cards! It almost aggravates me because I am like... this is my blog dang it... if you don't like it... don't visit! :)I feel like I started my blog as sort of a journal. Sometimes I feel like it has turned into more of me posting what I think others are wanting to see. Probably more info than you wanted! I say... It is yours... you are never going to please everyone so you do what makes you happy!!! I visit... cards or no cards! Of course I would love to see cards because I love to make them. You blog about whatever you want to blog about at that moment! That is my opinion! That is also one that I have a harder time sticking to than telling someone else to do! :)

  7. I think people read your blog because you are creative and we like what you create. So seeing, more of what you create would be even better even if it is a media we don't normally use.

  8. Well I just feel completely dumb for not knowing you had another blog. :( Just browsed through and feel like I completely missed out! Lol!... But I personally think you should just go with what's best for you. Because there's another thing on the list... you're a mother and a wife, too! You have a life, and this blogging thing isn't really supposed to be a thorn in your side, ya know? How about this... just create a gallery of some sorts. Whether it's attached to your current blog, or just in Flickr or something... You can let people know when you update it, and they can still browse and comment to their hearts' desires. Hope it all works out - just follow your heart!

  9. I'd like to see your cards a couple of times a week here. YOu could just add them to a post about other stuff ... and it can be eye-candy for us :)

  10. I think you could just post more often on here with the cards, and then less to keep up on. That's what I would do.

  11. Just to reiterate my post on your other blog - Either way works for me. Whatever is easiest and least tedious for you. Do what you enjoy! I personally don't mind your personal posts combined with crafty posts. It is part of who you are just as being wife/mother/cook etc is... So just do what is fun for you!

  12. I'd love to see your creations here on this blog. I have simplified & scaled down the blogs I read and I need inspiration daily to keep the creative juices flowing!
    Bring on the cards
& keep the cute kiddos coming too.

(by the way, I've spent the last hour catching up on the last 3 weeks of posts.
    You're awesome!!!)

  13. Personally, I would just go with the one blog. Aren't blogs supposed to be about us? Who says they have to be just family, or just recipes or just cards? I throw it all on my blog whenever I feel like it - LOL Cards....giveaways...coupon shopping...it's my blog....it's about all the parts that equal ME. I remember when you quit Twitter....and your reasoning....and then thinking - but she's creating another blog? Isn't that like more work? So yeah....I vote for one blog....seems so much easier....especially if you're all about simplifying.

  14. I can understand how tedious it is.... I have a foodie & the other cards... I am so engrossed in cards, that my foodie blog is literally starving.... & my fellow bloggers keep wondering what happened to me....;)

But according to me thought it is tedious, anything exclusive is always nice & organized... :)

  15. I like reading/seeing about a lot of different things. I love your recipes (and the photos to go with them) and love seeing your kids. I also like seeing the cards but I don't think it should be the main thing. I think a balance is good.

Yours is one of my favorite blogs; I frequent it everyday to see what's new!

  17. Dear dear Hannah Banana...

I'm trying to use this concept more in my life, and feel free to use it too: SIMPLIFY.

If combining blogs helps you to simplify, I'm ALL FOR IT! That's what I ended up doing long ago. And, people can skip the post if they want, and all's well. (not that I post very often anymore... but that's another story).

Anyway, that's my vote! Do what sounds best to you!
    Lots of love,

  19. I love your cards. I think they are beautiful and it has honestly inspired me to start thinking about buying some stamps and desinging my own! I would love for you to be able to simplify your life a little bit by streamlining your down to one blog. I mean goodness you have three kids and like fifty jobs...I think we'll understand if you go down to the one blog :)

  20. Okay...I'm convinced. Thanks, friends!! I really appreciate your input.

Please excuse the dust as I combine them today.

  21. I think I found your post too late, but I see you are going to combine them! Good for you! I had just found your other not long ago, and I don't think I was ever able to subscribe by email to that one, so Yay this way I won't miss anything. I don't always catch everything in reader with so much going on as well! You have to do what is easiest and I love seeing your creations! Good luck with the merge! :-)

  22. Great decision sweetie! I used to have a personal blog and travel blog, but it was just too time consuming, so I let the travel one go and just combined the two.

  23. I agree with everyone else, one blog will be fine. Cards are part of who you are, so that should be part of this blog. We enjoy reading all your post, food, cards, life, family, crying over a camera,LOL.
