Quick Thoughts on a Thursday.

::Received my first sunburn yesterday. I lathered my alabaster babies in sunscreen before they splashed in the water with their cute friends, but forgot about my own fair skin. Ow! We are so happy to be welcoming warm weather. The sunshine was worth the cooking my back received.

::Sent the monthly magazine I design to press today. Breathed a sigh of relief until I saw the pile of designs on my to-do list. Back to work I go.

::I had a few requests to have the weekly health focuses start on Mondays, so keep your journaling and exercise up for another few days. I'll be back Monday with a new focus.

::Designing my brother's wedding invites. He is engaged to a Scottish girl and the wedding is Scottish themed with a royal color scheme. She requested that all little boys be in Scottish garb. I wish I didn't have to wait until September to show off my cute boys in their kilts. Oh my. Too cute.

::My baby is officially 5 months old. I got a little teary when I realized that yesterday. My heart aches when I think of my cute kids growing up. I never knew that heartaches were literal. Baby giggles are the only remedy.

::So happy to have my husband back. I learned one thing while my husband was vacationing/working last week: mothering three kiddos alone is HARD. I don't ever want to do it again.

  1. kinda random...but where in scotland is your future sis in law from? i served my mission there and since the church is somewhat small there, it'd be fun to see if i knew her.

  2. Hmmm...I don't exactly know. I think she moved to the USA as a teenager.

    Maybe she'll comment. Laura? Are you reading this? Where are you from? :)

  5. I like Mondays for the health focus too. Mondays are my weigh-in days...although I have to weigh every day - it keeps me focused - Monday is the actual day that I document my weight. I am about getting healthy AND losing weight...'cuz I got to....too fat is not a good thing. Fat on babies = cute; fat on a grown woman = bad - LOL

    Can't wait to see the kids in...kilts....? That's going to be adorable!! And I know what you mean. My kids are just about 6 & 8 and I find myself staring at them...just wishing they would stop getting older...although I tell them that they will always be my babies. {sigh}

  6. Send some of that warm weather this way! I know what you mean by heartaches being literal... they are the worst! So glad you have some baby giggles to remedy them. It truly is crazy how fast they grow.

    Can't wait to see the kilts. :)

    AND... I can't imagine mothering 3 alone! I did just one all week last week and again this weekend and I am pooped.

    p.s. That picture is too cute!

  10. I am reading this! I'm from Aberdeen, but like Hannah said, I moved to Utah when I was a teenager, so it's been ten years now. Still, even so I bet we know some of the same people.... :)
