I'm loving the feminine cardigans popping up everywhere. Ruffles, lace, flowers: so so pretty. I was looking for an even more ruffly one, but I'm on a budget, remember?
Here is the first outfit I am thinking about adding to my closet. Seems like a good take-your-kids-to-the-park ensemble to me. (Am thinking this would look lovely paired with my new shoes.) Opinions welcome & encouraged.

love them!! so cute and fresh! great prices, too!
ReplyDeleteDown East Basics has a very cute cardigan for about $29. It has a few more ruffles (I liked it better). I was thinking about a cute cami with ruffles on the front. That way when you go to the park you can wear a shirt under or to dress it up wear your plain sweater with the ruffles exposed in the front. hope that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI actually saw that sweater last week, but when I went on their site today, I couldn't find it. I agree. It is very, very cute and I would much prefer it.
ReplyDeleteJust to amuse you, I fell in love with a silk ruffle blouse paired with a brown motorcylce jacket and jeans. It was love at first sight to me but alas the pocketbook didnt agree! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI love the outfits and the prices are great.Ruffles on the front are great to hide our bellies, I still try to hide mine.
ReplyDeletei don't know where to start--love your blog. love that you stay up until 2 making lists. love that you take a week off to play with your daughter. and love that you are trying to get back in touch with fashion after baby #3. (congrats!)
ReplyDeletei am so excited to have found you!
i think this outfit would be fab. esp w/ your new shoes :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, this outfit would look great with those shoes. I like the shorts! Just so you know, your tree is getting its picture taken right now so when it's done I'll get it in the mail to you! It's super cute...
ReplyDeleteThis is a way-to-nice outfit to go to the park! I would be afraid of ripping something while I played....
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Hannah! I'll admit, I spend more money on my girls' clothes instead of my own for 2 reasons:
ReplyDeletea) theirs is cheaper!
b) their sizes don't vary with ever-changing body shape (thank you pregnancies)
I'll have to check out your suggestions :)
I think you should put more outfits together for us all to see and then purchase! This is a great outfit for the park, a lunch date, the dentist, running errands etc. etc. Classy + comfortable + cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the shorts, well really I love it all. I have the hardest time with fashion, and now that you mention it, it has been since I had kids. You have to be able to run around, squat, bend over, do back flips and cart wheels in what ever it is you have on!!! Great outfit....and I agree you should do us some more!
ReplyDeleteI like that this outfit isn't too matchy matchy! I hear you about the ruffles addiction, too bad I can't afford all of the amazing cardigans at jCrew -- however, lately I've been experimenting with some of my own refashions of clothes like this one: http://adventuresindressmaking.blogspot.com/2010/02/jcrew-asymmetrical-ruffle-tee-knock-off.html
ReplyDeleteThey actually don't require very much sewing and I've been pleasantly surprised at house easy many of them were.
