Off to spend the day with my sweet grandmother. She has been emailing me like crazy asking to see her great-grandchildren. (I love that my almost 90-year-old grandma uses email to communicate with me.)
But...I wanted to share a fun link with you before I head out. I have had my handwriting made into a font twice by two different people and I love writing my journal in my own hand. Well...almost my own hand. It usually costs money to have those done, but I recently found a new, super-fun website called fontcapture that will create a font from your own handwriting FOR FREE. Yay! (I love free things...) I'm off to make the Hannah-Handwriting Font #3. Enjoy!

Have you had any problems adding the font to your fonts file? I have windows vista and it doesn't seem to want to accept the new file.
ReplyDeletehow exciting! i now have something to do. :)
ReplyDeleteHeather:
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried with this program yet, but I will let you know. I have a mac, though.
This is so cool! Thanks for sharing :o)
ReplyDeleteI love that your 90 year old grandma uses email! I've been trying to get my 87 year old grandma online forever. She just won't do it.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had cool enough handwriting to make it worth turning into a font. Maybe I will have to practice.
One of my grandma's is in her 70's and tries to get online all the time but we still have to help her turn the computer on so it might be a while before I get an email from her ;).
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the font site! I tried it and love it. I only wish I had better handwriting!
