...daddy rarr

Have I ever introduced you to "Daddy Rarr"? He is a very important member of our family. Tragically, he went missing on Saturday. My daughter was distraught. They have been inseparable for 4 years. (Can you tell? He is a little mangled...) We did a full search of the house, yard, vehicles, and the park to see if we left him there on Saturday. Nothing.

This is embarrassing to admit, but I actually cried a little over this missing bear. He is straggly and old and dirty...but i think it gives him a charm. That childhood magic. My baby girl loved him and she still does. When I see her with him, I can still picture my pretty little one-year-old babe. I am not ready for her to move on.

UPDATE: After a DAYS of searching and many phone calls, Daddy Rarr is back home! Phew! My not-so-baby girl is cuddling with him right now.

  3. oh thank goodness! We have "Boo"...a raggly blue bear dressed in bunny pjs that my 5 year old son still sleeps with. He is part of the family so I can totally relate! (We even bought a backup Boo a couple of years ago b/c we were afraid of losing him, I think Sammy would figure it out now though if we ever had to switch him out!)

  4. And where was he? I can't imagine what we'd do if we lost either of our girls' blankies!

  6. YAY! I can totally relate. Tasha is 5 and is still totally attached to her "Snowy", a random stuffed snowman that she adores. We bought a few replicas early on and have cycled through some of them, due to leaving them at the pet store, in Walgreens or at the car dealership. I've saved one for to have when she's a grown up...one that doesn't look quite so loved!
