...german pancakes
15 September 2009
One thing that marks fall for me is an oven-baked breakfast. Coffee cakes, muffins, frittatas. Yum! One of our favorite dishes is German Pancakes. (I don't know if they really are German or not. Do any of you Germany-dwellers or Germany-travelers know?) They are extremely easy and super delish. My kids love them...and so do we adults.

ReplyDeleteMmm! I love these. I got the idea from Marie to make them in muffin tins - that way I don't have to wait so long. It's like everyone is the beloved corner piece. Remember when we would "call" the corner?
ReplyDeleteI've had Swedish pancakes and Dutch pancakes, but not German - thanks for the recipe.

ReplyDeleteHi Hannah,
ReplyDeletejust stubled across your blog and read a couple of your posts. As you are asking if your German pancakes are German or not... I thought I am the right person to comment her because I am German.
So to answer your question... I actually don't think they are. At least I have never ever seen or tasted them before. The look delicious though :) For me pancakes (in German: Pfannkuchen) are like the French crêpes. Baked in a pan on the stove like American pancakes - they are just really thin.
You know what... I am just going to e-mail you my recipe and pictures what they look like.
