...shopping when pregnant

I hate shopping for clothes when I am pregnant. I hate buying anything that I will only get to wear for maybe 6 months, spending a ton of money, and still feeling yucky in my new clothes. In fact, I hate it so much, that I refuse to do it. I have some ugly maternity clothes, and I am just going to deal with them for the next 5.5 months.

I still love shopping, but when I am pregnant I always end up with a bunch of new shoes, bags and accessories. (Cause...no matter how much weight you gain, that cute purse will still fit you.)

I took my kids to target a couple days ago for a little retail therapy. (A bit unusual for me lately, since we are saving for a new car...ick. I hate cars and how much money they are.) While we were there, I bought myself a brand spanken new PURPLE purse and a pair of silver (seriously comfy) shoes. It has been way too long since I bought myself a new purse. I can't wait to try it out! And the best part of the whole experience? I only spent $25 TOTAL! I love you, Target...

  1. They are comfortable? Really?! I think I need those shoes. Seriously. I think I need to drive by Target on my way home today and buy those shoes...

  2. They really are comfortable! I was surprised! (They aren't tennis shoes, but for high-heels, they are can qualify as comfortable.)

  3. Whatever, Hannah. I have seen you pregnant and have a few things to say.

First, you are an adorable pregnant girl.

Second, you have fashionable, darling pregnancy clothes.

And lastly, can I buy your pregnancy wardrobe from you when you are done having kids?

    Love, your buddy Meg.

  4. One more thing. Can I copy you and buy the same purse? I won't use it when we are together.

  5. Meg, now you are being plain silly. I'll GIVE you my wardrobe when I am done. (Although, by then it may be WAY out of style...)

And, if I really cared about anyone having the same purse as me, I probably wouldn't shop at Target or post a direct link on the site. Buy away! (And...use it when we are together!)

  6. Fercute! Those shoes are fab!

What if your feet get bigger with a pregnancy? What if they get bigger permanently? I am more afraid of this than sleep deprivation or post partum depression.

Yes, I have Issues. I'm aware.

  7. I am not even kidding, but I was looking at those exact same shoes yesterday!!

I feel ya on the ugly maternity clothing. My belly is really starting to pop now and I just dread looking for clothing. My wardrobe is pah-thetic.

  8. heidi...I think a lot of people's feet grow 1/2 a size when pregnant. Mine didn't, but my mom and sister swear theirs did. I hope yours don't cause I wouldn't want to loose that fab shoe wardrobe of yours! (However, I know a willing party who would take them off your hands if the dreaded does happen...)
