Heading to my second rodeo EVER in 45 minutes. J feels sad that we don't have any cowboy garb to wear. Even though I live in cowboy country, I don't know if I could bring myself to wear any anyway, and I am secretly glad that J's cowboy hat and boots are stored in the safety of his parent's home in Idaho.
My husband took me to my first rodeo 6 years ago and I didn't see any cowboys stay on the bull for the full...6 seconds? 8 seconds? Whatever the goal is...I didn't see it. So, I am going to cheer loud for the cowboys tonight. Yee haw!
UPDATE: The rodeo was a blast!! We ate yummy fair food, saw 4 cowboys stay on the bull for the full 8 second, and I learned a cowboy swear word. "Dad-Gum." No, I don't think that I will introduce it to my daily vocabulary, but I did find it amusing last night.

love rodeos! not the smell so much but love those jeans! if you can actually spot a cute cowboy there that is, every rodeo I go to the guys are kinda old or I already know them, that's no fun.
ReplyDeleteI am so NOT a cowgirl, BUT--- I love the Rodeo. When I first came to hick country, during middle school- I was forced to go to the big one here (the snake river stampede) every year. I hated it. But now? I love it...
ReplyDeletelol, how'd the rodeo go? :) my cousin used to bull ride. broke his collar bone and other bones. rough times. i'm surprised you aren't cowgirling it up! ;)
ReplyDeleteGrowing up on a cattle ranch, I have always loved rodeos. Abby loves watching the bull riding on TV and has to learn the name of each one! I'm glad you had fun!!
ReplyDeleteThat last comment was me... I guess Jenny was still signed into my computer.
ReplyDeleteRodeo's are fun huh! Which one did you go to...I'm not cowboy at all, but it's fun to pretend every once in awhile!
ReplyDeleteJill: We went to the Spanish Fork one. It was great!
