Ever since I saw this photograph for the first time, I have wanted a print. Isn't is amazing? It was taken by George Edward Anderson in 1907. While traveling to his LDS mission in England, he got permission from Church Headquarters to take pictures of church history sites. This one is of the Sacred Grove in Palmyra, New York. The little boy in the picture was taking him to the place that they believed the first vision happened. I love that he caught him in the picture.
Whenever I look at this picture, I think of that young 14-year-old boy standing amoung the massive trees and receiving the first vision. It is pretty humbling.
Click Here to see his amazing collection! I love ALL of them!
