...my second attempt

I have never claimed to have a green thumb, and I probably never will. I do WANT to have one though, so maybe my desire will help me someday. I planted my garden last week. Just my luck, we had a horrible windstorm/freeze that night and my tomatoes died. I was sad, but after so many blisters and hours from preparing the soil, I had to try again. Instead of buying my starters at Home Depot, I went to a local nursery. Holy Cow...I LOVE that place!! It was enormous and all the plants looked to healthy and wonderful. It was also HALF the price of Home Depot. (Who knew?! I thought nurseries would be way more expensive...)

I went and bought THIS amazing book...which is a gardeners bible. It explains how to do everything. (Please ignore my hair and clothes. I have been working in the garden all day...)

Here are some pictures of my second attempt plants. PLEASE DON'T DIE!

  7. Gardens are soooo fun! I can't wait to get mine planted. I always draw a diagram of mine too. (But mine is scratched on a piece of paper. Not nearly as cute as yours.)

AND I don't look nearly as darling as you after gardening. Hello Super Model!!! Too cute.

P.S. I'm hoping to make your vintage dolls this weekend. I'm hoping my craft store has some of the wood. (And not for a fortune.) I'm going on a girls crafty/scrapbook weekend and so I'm doing them there. I plan on ordering more (for so cheap!) on that site. THX!

  8. Oh, Hannah. You are just too amazing. I am hoping to build some garden boxes this weekend so I can begin my square foot gardening love affair. We'll have to share tips we learn as we begin our gardening journeys.

  9. I've gotten those book and end up completely overwhelmed and stressed out. I'm glad you have a better attitude.

We planted our garden for FHE...look for an upcoming post about the fiasco it was.
