...running

So...I have never been a runner, but I have always wanted to be. I made a goal for myself that I was going to run a 5K this summer. (That may not be a big feat for some of you, but for me, it is...) I am going to sign up for one this week with a couple girls in my ward. I hope I can do it...

  1. I just posted about this today too! I am running my first 5K in May. There is a great program linked on my blog that is super for training. You can do it!

  4. Which race are you running? I think it's awesome you're going to run a 5k. This website has all the UT races by month. I really like the site. My sisters and I wanted to do the Provo one on April 16th or 19th or something, I don't know if it's too soon or not. Also, if you want I can have Ed email you a personalized running schedule so you don't get injured. He lives for this kind of stuff.

  5. Hooray! I started a 5K goal-- and blew it. But your post is inspiring me to think about giving it another try!

  6. Also, I was thinking, and a 5k is the equivalent of taking a nice long walk, distance wise. So don't psych yourself out. After all those crazy spin classes this is going to be short and sweet

  7. The race is in pg. I am not sure which one it is exactly...

April may be too soon for me. I need to have a little bit of time to work up to 3 miles. :)

  9. Wow, good for you! Running is like committing suicide for me and I think I have drug Jerry (the once avid runner) over to the dark side as well. We have made a goal to start running again once the snow is melted, but I think I will secretely just walk (haha!). So I say... way to go!

  10. Well, Hilary, if I could look like you when not running, I wouldn't do it either. :)
