J took this picture of me last night as we were headed out on our date. Whenever I look at pictures of my "new" hair, I can't help but miss my long locks. I do like my new hair, but I feel a lot less feminine. And...in pictures like the one above...I think it looks like boy hair. Ick. After having elbow-length hair or thereabouts for so long, I really do feel less girly. It is sad. I am not sure why I think that. I have many beautiful family/friends with as short or shorter hair, and I think they look very feminine and beautiful.Maybe I am just having long hair withdrawals.

Hannah, I totally understand what you are going through. I feel the exact same way! I miss my long hair!! Even though short hair was fun to try, I think I will go back to my long hair just to feel feminine again. That being sad, I love your hair. I honestly think it is so cute on you and it does not look like boy hair!! It is adorable and you still are your beautiful feminine self :). I am just saying that I can relate and it's probably because we are both so used to having long hair!

I can understand why you might feel you don't feel as girly, considering you've had long LONG hair for a long time, but I think it will grow on you, you just need to get used to it. You for sure do not have boy hair. Me on the other hand...now THAT's boy hair ;) In fact...in December I was referred to as a he and Mister. Good times!

ReplyDeleteyou totally have long hair withdrawls. It's hard to not tie femininity to long hair. models and celebrities always have long hair...and a TEAM of people keeping it up to snuff:)
