That last post was kind of a downer, so I thought I should post something quick that was a little less depressing. (Well...depressing for me, at least...) :)
Even though J have been going through this trial over J's employment for the entire time, we have had some wonderful blessings in the past two years.
-We were able to live in beautiful Hawaii for 12 of the last 24 months. We love it there and it was so nice to be around my parents.
-I was hired on at a wonderful, flexible, work-at-home job that lets me be home with my children and pay the bills...and I actually enjoy it!
-I have been able to watch my beautiful daughter grow up to be a smart, sweet, healthy toddler.
-My darling little boy was born and he lets me cuddle with him.
-We have somehow been able to pay all our bills, pay off car and student loans, and save for a home.
-I have made some wonderful friends this year who have been so supportive and loving through all my rough times.
-We have both had some challenging callings that helped us to grow and learn.
-I have a fabulous husband who loves me...even with my shortcomings.
I hope I don't sound boastful, but sometimes I need to remember my blessings to keep me from dwelling on the trials.

it's always a good thing to count your blessings! looks like you've got lots of them. there's so much to be grateful when you start looking for it.
ReplyDeleteNot bragging at all! You have a lot to be grateful for and a lot to be proud of, and I'm one that's all for seeing the glass half-full. :) Counting my blessings always helps change my perspective, and I don't think it's something we can do too often- we're supposed to be grateful!

This is what I love about blogging. We get to open up and see the good times as well as the struggles. I'm glad you're honest about how you're feeling, good or bad!
